This time a little different style than usally. I began this illustration with a couple of spots painted a few months ago. From spots scenery emerged. Everything inspired mainly by music track "Asturias" by the Spanish composer Isaac Albéniz. and by other music from the Iberian Peninsula. I haven't posted this work here, because the whole time it was missing something. Finally, I added characters, their faces represent my mood from that day ;) Small fix of few details a few days ago, and voilà, here's a new illustration.

I neglected recently painting and updating blog. Somehow I had no willingness to do it. For those who would like to see some new illustrations, I post thumbnails of three new works I am currently working on. There's more, and as soon as I finish writing this post I begin to paint :)
P.S. Illustrated Apparent Reality has been awarded the title of the Golden Page of the Week by polish magazine "Wprost". Wow ;) Now may become site of the month. If you live in Poland, please vote till end March. Send SMS with the text WWWM4 to number 7155. The cost is only 1.22 PLN with VAT. Thanks!

Illustration to "Mouse in the wall" - Ted Cole's tale, the hero of John Irving's novel "A Widow for One Year". It took me about four days to paint it. Here are some excerpts from novel - my freestyle translation ;)
(...) Tom woke up his father and asked:
- Did you hear that sound?
- What sound? - interested father asked.
- It seems to me that this is a monster who has neither arms nor legs, but tries to move - said Tom.
- And what sound exactly wake you up? - asked the father.
- It was like one of the mom's dresses have come alive in the closet and tried to slip the hanger - answered Tom.
- It's only a mouse scratching the wall - said his father. Tim screamed piercingly. He did not know what it is the mouse, and terrified at the thought of something that is covered with a thick, wet fur, without legs, arms and crawls into the wall. And besides, how could something be there?
