I began this illustration with a couple of spots painted a few months ago. From spots scenery emerged. Everything inspired mainly by music track "Asturias" by the Spanish composer Isaac Albéniz. and by other music from the Iberian Peninsula. I haven't posted this work here, because the whole time it was missing something. Finally, I added characters, their faces represent my mood from that day ;) Small fix of few details a few days ago, and voilà, here's a new illustration. It is good for skills improvements . This time I made illustration for deviantart contest "Picture Yourself in Wonderland." The idea was to present yourself as a character from "Alice in Wonderland" by Tim Burton. Well, here it is - Kalais as the Mad Hatter. I had the impression that the wisdom tooth is coming out. With tongue I felt that something is there. Growth, some evil forces build it and making pain. At least it was what my imagination told me back then. Right after I visited the dentist. My tooth was growing in wrong way so I had to get rid of it. I sketched this illustration before the visit. A month ago I tuned it a bit. It could still have a lot of detail added, but I didn't want to spend more time on it. I saw a couple of her pictures, we send several messages. We are sitting in some cafe, tabula rasa, basically we don't know anything about ourselves. I must admit it is interesting and fun experience. She was very good looking and very nice ... But the whole time I had a feeling that there is some desperation in her. That was so repulsive that only thing I saw was this picture. I didn't want to she feel bad so I didn't show this work for a long time here. :) Haha, it was probably like 1.5 years ago. Is that change anything? Probably not, it is only the convention. But somehow it reminded me that there was no update here for a quite long time. This is kinda related to the fact that I paint less during summer and spring. As usual I have thousands of unfinished paintings waiting for their turn. It is Winter here in Poland now. I once even painted illustration, which was inspired by a friend's post. Something about the pork chop in the restaurant... I imagine the situation looked like this: - Ah, this pork chop in restaurant is fucking awesome! I gonna make photo with my iPhone and upload it to Facebook. I rock! Everybody will know I am eating at fancy restaurant and my wife is so boring that I need to play with my smart phone. - Oh honey, you're doing photo of the pork chop? Awesome! Upload it to FB!
